For Momo Yaoyorozu, Shouto Todoroki had always been leagues away.

The difference in strength between the two of them was large, and even though they sat next to each other in classes, it felt as though there was a wall blocking the two of them.

Sometimes, she watched him from a distance. She could really see that he had a good hold of his quirk and had rational approaches in battle. Even though he didn't seem to use his left hand much, his formidable ability in wielding the power of ice was always a sight to see.

Compared to him, Momo felt small, almost insignificant.

Both of them got into U.A. through recommendations, and yet she still felt inferior compared to his own achievements.

What could she do, anyway? She lost to Tokoyami in the Sports Festival, unable to use her quirk for more than thirty seconds because she was overpowered and outwitted. She couldn't think fast and straight in a true battle, and she felt ashamed of herself.

That is, until the End of Term Test came by.

"When we were nominating for Class President, you had two votes, right? One of those votes was mine! Because I thought you excelled at that sort of thing!"

Suddenly, it was as if all her confidence returned inside her.

It was his words that brought her courage. It was his words that led her to lead the two of them to victory in the test.

She couldn't quite believe that Shouto Todoroki, one of the ace students, acknowledged her capabilities. It felt surreal. Wonderful, even.

Momo Yaoyorozu knew that she'd always be grateful to him.

"Todoroki-san?"

Shouto paused in his walking, turning his head towards her questioningly. "Yaoyorozu?" he inquired.

Both of them were leaving the test area. Aizawa had already gone ahead of them, planning to observe the other students.

Momo shook her head, smiling. She couldn't quite contain her grin.

"I just wanted to say... thank you."

Shouto blinked, puzzled. "For what?"

Momo's smile never faltered as she suddenly broke into a light sprint, waving at him before going on ahead.

"For voting for me!"

For Shouto Todoroki, Momo Yaoyorozu has always been strong.

She's strategic, calm, rational, the top of their class, and possesses great potential as well as skills, especially regarding her unique and amazing quirk.

Shouto Todoroki thinks that she can be a far better hero than he is.
