The Wedding Reception

Summary: What occurred at Alak and Christie's wedding reception. Many of the characters are mentioned, but primarily an Tommy and Irisa fanfic. Having been rooting for the guy since the serpents egg, I decided to give the guy a good moment with Irisa. Its supposed to bridge the gap between 1x10 and 1x11.
It seemed like the entire town of defiance was gathered in the NeedWant to celebrate Alak and Christie's Wedding. While almost everyone was celebrating, Tommy LaSalle was having a quite drink by himself.
He and Nolan had just wrapped up the scene of Mayor Nicki's suicide. Yewll had taken the body to the hospital and they informed Amanda of what happened. They decided to inform the town of what happened tomorrow and let them enjoy the party tonight.
The whole thing was bittersweet for tommy. On the one hand, he had finally solved Hunter Bell's murder and he knew that Clancy would be proud of him. But, he was still in shock that Nicky had been capable of such a thing.
It was at the point where Alak and Christie had their first dance together as husband and wife and everyone had paired off. Datak and Stahma were dancing and Datak's permanent sneer had disappeared from his face while dancing with his wife. Nolan managed to steal Kenya away for a dance and even Rafe had gotten Amanda on the dance floor. Tommy was going to get another drink when he heard an unlikely voice say "Ask a lady for a dance?"
Having been brought back to reality, Tommy turned to see that it was in fact Irisa who had asked him. She was still in that blue dress from the ceremony, looking both incredibly beautiful and slightly uncomfortable. Tommy gave a grin and said "Sure, know anyone imparticular?" When she gave him the "I will Knife you" look he quickly responded with "Just kidding, lets go".
Once they had gotten on the dance floor, it had taken them a few moments, but after a few stepped toes they managed to get a rythmn going and started to dance in sync. It was when the irathient girl put her head on his chest, the deputy smiled for the second time that night and said to himself, "Town definitely needed this party."
