Ben 10: Arrowverse
SUMMARY:
What if Ben was born in Central City? What if the Particle Accelerator affected him? What if he got his Omnitrix at age 16? This is the story that remakes the canon into an amazing crossover.
INTRODUCTION:
January 7, 2014 - Star Labs - The Day The Particle Accelerator Exploded:
Everyone at Star Labs was tired of waiting. They all had the same expression on their faces - bored.
"Hey Ben, do you really think this particle thingy is gonna change the world?" My cousin Gwen asked, just as bored as everyone else.
"The Professor himself said it was going to change physics to a whole new level," I replied. "Everything we know about particle physics until this point will be changed forever. Just imagine what this will do for medicine - it will save so many lives."
Smoke surrounded the stage and bright colours lit up the stage ground. Professor Harrison Wells, in a black suit and tie, walked up to the stage. Applause roared as the Professor walked over to the microphone.
"Hold your applause, today is a special day," announced Harrison Wells. "Today, we are proud to celebrate the grand unveiling of the Particle Accelerator. team at Star Labs have worked very hard, pushing ourselves beyond our limits, every day working harder and harder until today, the day we've all been waiting for. The Particle Accelerator will change the world as we know it. There will be advancements in every area of science."
I rushed through the crowd to get closer to the stage. Finally, the chance to be a part of something greater. Just imagine the powerful things this can do for doctors in hospitals - it can save so many lives.
Even though I'm only 11, I feel like this is going to change my life completely.
"Ben, look! There's a gift shop over there, let's go check it out!" My cousin Gwen pointed.
"But he's about to activate the Particle Accelerator," I said. I looked to my left and watched as the Particle Accelerator powered up.
"Wait, that's not supposed to happen!" Someone yelled behind the stage.
"W-we're having some engineering issues here, but I assure you, everything's fine." Professor Wells assured as some people ran out the building.
There were sparks coming from the loose wires out of the walls, starting fires.
"Ben, we need to get out of here!" Gwen said. I saw sparks coming out of the Particle Accelerator and knew I had to get out.
As I ran out the door with Gwen, I heard a girl screaming someone's name behind me. A minute later, we reached the parking lot and searched for our Grandpa.
"Grandpa Max! Grandpa Max, where are you?" I shouted, hoping he'd hear me, but by then it was too late. An explosion blew up behind us and...
Chapter 1: Meta-Ben
1st of January 2019 (Present Day) - 5 years after the Particle Accelerator explosion:
"Gwen, he's not going to wake up." A familiar voice said.
"I know that, but what if he does? I want to be there when he does." Gwen said. "He was always there for me when I needed him, now I want to be here for him."
"I know, sweetie, but it's been 5 years, he's not going to wake up now." The familiar voice argued.
I opened my eyes slowly and saw a stranger with glowing pink hair, a blue shirt and jeans. Next to her was... my mom?
"Mom... who's that?" I asked, wondering.
"Ben, you're alive!" The girl screamed in relief. "It's me, Gwen! Remember? It's been 5 years since... well, you've been in a coma for 5 years." Gwen said.
5 years? How is that possible? I lived those 5 years! I went to school and everything! I mean, I remember going to school. What if it was all a dream?
A doctor walked in holding a needle filled with a purple liquid.
"Now that the patient is awake, I'm going to need to assess him." The doctor ordered.
"How did you know I was awake?" I asked, curiously. She ignored me and rolled up my sleeve.
"This is going to hurt, you might want to close your eyes." The doctor said. I felt a painful shot hit my arm. She connected some sort of tube to my arm that drained blood and stored it into a... scanner?
The pain lasted about a minute, but after that, a beeping noise came from the scanner.
"Incredible, the scan reveals an increase in your intelligence," the doctor revealed. "You seem to have all the knowledge you need for school."
But... how?
12 minutes later, the doctor said the tests were successful and Ben can go home.
"It's been so long I forgot what home looks like." I mentioned as I walked in to my parent's house. All these memories are coming back to me as I walked through the hallway to the living room. I remember spilling a drink on the carpet when I was running through the hallway as a little kid. Everything is coming back to me... well, slowly.
As we sat down, my mom asked me if I lost my memory.
"I lost a lot of my memory, yes, but everything is slowly coming back. I mean, I remember you, Gwen, Grandpa. That's good, right?" I recalled.
"Yes, that's... great," she replied.
After hours of talking, Gwen decided to ask Ben a burning question.
"Remember when we used to go camping with Grandpa for the summer?" Gwen asked. "Well, we were planning on doing that for the weekend tomorrow. The weather's been really hot this week and now that you're awake, I think it would be great for you to come along. We can catch up on everything that's been happening and I'm sure Grandpa would love to see you again." Gwen suggested.
Camping? I don't remember camping. I've always wanted to go camping with them... in my "life dream" when I was in a coma.
"Sure, I love camping." I answered.
"I thought you hated camp- I mean, great! We can finally talk again and catch up," Gwen said.
"I'm going to call it a night guys, I'm really tired." I said as I got up.
I walked upstairs and went to my room. Nope, wrong room. I opened the door to the right and laid down on my bed, falling into a deep sleep.
Disfigured voices were whispering in my head, slowly turning into figures. A dream was forming and I'm watching it. I've never felt this before, I never even used to remember my dreams, but this?
