Told from Emma's point of view from when Henry is born

6lbs and 9oz. lookin' up at me
Like I have all the answers
I hope I have the ones you need
I've never really done this, now I know what scared is

My name is Emma Swan and my son was just born. I have never been so scared in my entire life and I have endured a lot growing up in the foster system. I can't give my son away. What if he doesn't get adopted? I don't want him to turn out like me. I may only be 18 years old, but I will find a way. I can't let him grow up the way I did. I will name him, Henry Adam Swan.

Sometimes I'll protect you from everything that's wrong
Other times I'll let you just find out on your own
But that's when you'll be growin',
And the whole time I'll be knowin'

Sometime I'll protect him, but other times I'll let him protect himself. I'll be sad as he grows up and becomes independent but the whole time I'll know he'll be fine because he is my son. I am strong and I never let things get me down and neither will he.

He'll someday learn that their are no happy endings or fairy godmothers in this world. If he wants to change his life he have to change it himself, I learned that the hard way, but I am glad I did so now I can teach my son. And when people try to tell him who he is , he'll have to tell them who he really is.

I'm sorry for any mistakes that I make, but I'm really not ready for this and I am trying my best. If he turns out a bit messed up, when he's older it won't matter because I am messed up and damaged too. And I will still love him no matter what.

I have made many mistakes that I should apologize and repay store owners for, but I will make sure to give back to the community so you learn the important of giving where you can. If you can't give and you need the help don't be ashamed to take it, and don't try to help others. It will only put you in a worse situation.
