Disclaimer: I am not Soman Chainani.
She can't bring herself to mourn over the broken shards of their lost friendship and bond.
She can't bring herself to tread over the shattered remains.
She does not wish the pain to cut into her, she does not wish to feel it.
So, instead, in that moment, she lets the love of another take over her actions. She chooses to stand a distance that isn't very safe, but at this point, she doesn't know which vantage is safe, in this disjointed, fragmented world.
The only thing she can bring herself to acknowledge with a silent whisper of her eyes is that what they were has been defeated, and who they were has become no more.
This can be from either Sophie or Agatha's point of view, from the end of 'A World Without Princes'. Thank you for reading, and please review! (I'm also sorry it's so short.)
