I'm frozen…I have to watch Peeta die! As Cato climbs through the forest I'm paralyzed. I want to run, scream and plead for help I want to warn Peeta. But I can't. There is nothing I can do.
As Cato sends the spear through Peeta I scream.
"KATNISS" Peeta cries, "KATNISS WAKE UP." My eyes flutter open and I see Peeta above me.
"oh Peeta," I sigh I'm so relieved, "I thought you were dead"
"I'm here and I always will be"
" I Know" I sigh For some reason I start sobbing. Tears are flooding down my face and and my body is wracked with sobs.
"Shhh Katniss it's okay" peeta soothes. He cradles me in his arms as I soak his shirt with tears.
Why do I cry? What is the reason? The games are gone and I'm safe. But no I'll never be fully safe. The Capitol made sure of that.
And I hate them for it.
