"Of all the places to go to on a vacation" Sara complained as she arranged her clothes neatly in the dresser drawers provided by the lodge "it's bad enough that they're sending us all on a holiday, let alone making us go into the Canadian wilderness in the middle of winter" she shoved some more clothes forcefully on top of the ones already stacked in the drawer and slid her bag under her bed with her foot, flopping onto the bed behind her and handing the chocolate mint on her pillow to Lindsay, who greedily consumed it.
"Hey, it could be worse" Catherine said from across the room, she was laying on the bottom bunk, underneath Lindsay who was on top. Sara had the single bed in the corner, "you could have had to bunk with Nick and Greg" she pointed out, "or even worse you could have brought your entomology book?" disbelief was etched all over her face as Sara opened the thick volume and began to read "how on earth did you fit that in there? And more importantly, why would you want to bring a book that size? We're supposed to be on a holiday!"
Sara's response was cut short when Greg bounded into the room, closely followed by Nick and Warrick, being typical males and not knocking before they bounded in.
"Hey ladies," Greg greeted them "I see you're all unpacked"
"How do you know that one of us wasn't getting changed?" Catherine asked indignantly "you should know by now that you have to knock before you bash in someones door. I could've been half nude"
"Exactly" Warrick smirked, "we sent Greg in first so that he'd get all the heat"
"and you guys have an ensuite," Nick pointed out
"hey! Unfair" exclaimed Greg as he went off to survey the adjoining room
"we all know that you and Sara aren't exactly bum budies, so you'd use that" Warrick chimed in
"and we could hear through the door, it didn't sound like you were in the nude"
"you left the window open too, so we could hear you in our room, it's just next door" they were prevented from rambling as Sara and Catherine simultaneously hurled their pillows at them.
Thirty seconds later a fully-fledged pillow fight was taking place, Greg was hiding under Catherine's bed with Lindsay as the four other adults filled the air with flying feathers. Somehow Warrick got Catherine pinned under him on the bed, each laughing and trying to catch their breath at the same time. The laughter stopped and they leaned towards each other, each waiting for the other to make the first move. She stroked his face with her hand and
!!!WHAM!!! out of nowhere a flying pillow caught them side on, distracted they looked up and saw Sara raising her arms to strike again. Seeing his buddy in danger Nick propelled Sara towards the open door. Lindsay finally decided that this would be a good point to join in and she grabbed her own pillow and whacked him in the stomach. Catherine tried to struggle out from underneath Warrick, but he held her fast, he grinned and whispered in her ear so that no one else could hear "I want you."
Shocked, she stopped struggling and stared up at him. His dark eyes glinting at her. Then with a sly grin and a mischievous twinkle in her eye, she ground her hips into his, causing him to moan. He dropped his guard and she wriggled away, picking up her pillow and beginning another onslaught.
Meanwhile, Sara backed away from the door while the others were distracted and made her way to Grissom's room, she knocked on the door and it opened immediately.
"What took you so long?" he asked dragging her into the room and pinning her up against the door, not waiting for an answer and dipping his face to hers to taste the sweetness of her lips "I thought you'd forgotten about me"
"Warrick took a while to distract the others" she mumbled into his neck as they stumbled backward towards the bed "can't live without me huh?" she bucked her hips up to his as he landed on top of her
His only response was to laugh and pull back the covers on the bed beneath them
