We live side by side, we talk everyday

But secretly I have to shoo my feelings away

We walk side by side, we talk all alone

But many a loving feeling's been thrown

They are cast aside like nothing is there

And you do not know how much I care

We've been together since I first came here

But you never knew how I held you dear

We are sitting together under the stars

In the back of your cousin's truck, watching the cars

We laugh and we sing, to music and fun

My love for you has grown, and has not yet begun

You never once saw any looks that I gave

Your mischievous ways make me want to impress and behave

We never are apart, unless we're away

But in my heart, you will always stay
