In the hour since Dean discovered Sam missing he nearly paced a hole in the carpet. No note. No phone call.
They had shared a drink in honor of John Winchester's 55th birthday, Sam taking Jack instead of a soft drink. From the looks of it Sam had continued toasting while Dean showered.
A knock at the door stopped Dean's pacing. There was the sheriff next to a goofily grinning Sam.
"This yours?"
"Yeah," Dean couldn't keep from grinning, "that's mine."
Sam held up bags. "Dean! I got you some beesechurgers!"
The cop grinned, gently nudging Sam into the room.
