Walking alone one winter night,
The ground a pallid sheet of white.
Lit with countless memories,
His hollow soul of emery;
Within the moon he saw her face,
Reminded of the maiden's grace,
He called to her, 'my Konstantine,
This king considers you his queen,
I fall in love, but cannot rise,
When come to mind your auburn eyes,
Those very orbs, I caused to tear,
Now haunt my mind, my dear, my dear,
Oh flawless angel's symmetry,
Please flaunt your grace away from me,
My blackened heart shall fly astray,
If I should see you- keep away!
Hermione; so sweet the sound,
Relaying depths of love profound,
Escape my lips a cry for you,
Lighting then my pain anew!
Dagger running through my soul;
This man is losing all control,
The fruit of death, seems not a curse,
For living now, is so much worse,
I wish to break the spell I live,
To grant her what I couldn't give,
She wished me secretly to die,
Even she would not deny,
A gift to her would be my life,
Repayment for her thorough strife.
The wretch I am, deserves no air,
I lay me down to die with prayer,
I shan't receive the love I crave,
But earn I do this early grave,
Farewell oh beaut, who never mine,
Was angel of the lands divine,
I wish, my dear, you somehow knew,
The contrition of my last adieu,
Alas, my sweet, this loving slave,
Shall keep his secret, in the grave,
My dying wish, Hermione;
Accept my last apology.'
Then once upon a winter night,
The ground a pallid sheet of white,
She stumbled thereupon his grave,
After his own life he gave,
Accepting his apology,
The angel broke her symmetry.
Now stained the tombstone, where he lay,
The blood of angel; flown astray.
A/N:
And there you have the stylings of a hopeless romantic indulged in poetry. Please don't die of amusement; it was past nearly 3:30 a.m when I finished this and the three mountain dews I drank made me a bit sugar-high. Thank you for reading, anyhow. (=
Emery: A hard, gray-black mineral consisting of corundum and either hematite or magnetite; used as an abrasive (especially as a coating on paper).
Konstantine: A man's one true love.
