NLH: Hello everyone! This story is the result of me staying up many hours later than I probably should have, so be kind.

One night, in the bottom of the North American continent, in all of Mexico and the surrounding regions, a strange event occurred. A shooting star, right over Mexico City. Followed by another one in a small coastal village. They kept appearing, more and more often, each one closer together. Within an hour, they blanketed the sky, all the air awash in white light. Astronomers were baffled; they hadn't seen the signs of any meteors at any point before. Even stranger, when looked at with powerful telescopes, they did not see any solid material inside them, just brightly burning gas balls. They simply dissipated right as they were 700 feet from the ground. Always that exact number, on the dot.

The phenomenon went on for three hours before the number of the strange meteors began thinning. Over the following hour, the number went down and the distance between them grew, until finally, at exactly 2:00 am, the last one appeared, right over Mexico City, where it had all began. And for the rest of the night it seemed peaceful. Until...

at 6:00 am, as the sun was beginning to rise, in Death Valley, California, another meteor appeared. This one, however, did have solid mass, and did not disappear at 700 feet from the ground. It crashed into the ground in the middle of the desert. The sand around the impact quickly glassed from the heat and velocity. The meteor sat for a few minutes. But then, all of a sudden, lights shot out of the crater. Tiny glowing orbs flew out. Like miniature comets, tens of thousands poured out. They flew out and across the sky, traveling at phenomenal speeds. They spread out across the world, until going to some small, out-of-the-way corner, they dove in and nestled into whatever nook or cranny they could find. The light then dimmed, but still shone, very slightly. And in those nooks and crannies, they began to change.

"Djora. Djoooorraaaaa..."
Despite her mother calling, Djora Joestar didn't get up. She knew from experience that she was perfectly safe as long as her voice remained at a certain level. . .

"DJORA CATARINA TIANA GARCIA JOESTAR, IF YOU AREN'T IN THE KITCHEN IN THE NEXT SEVEN MINUTES, I'M GETTING LA CHANCLA!"

There it was. She got dressed at terminal velocity and was in the kitchen in four minutes. Her mother already had a plate of breakfast ready for her. "Nice work. Done in record time." Djora smiled and kissed her mother's cheek as she received the plate. "Because you motivate me."

Djora quickly ate and held her hand out to the purple backpack on a shelf. A silver mummified hand reached out from under the top flap and grabbed her hand, pulling itself to her as it retracted back into the backpack.

Mrs. Joestar looked at her daughter with disdain. "Djora, you know you should be more careful about using your Stand." Djora scoffed. "Who's going to see it in the house? Who's going to see it anywhere?!" She kissed her mom on the cheek as she stood. "Thanks for caring. Gotta go!" She ran out the door.
