I do not own anything from Harry Potter, that belongs to J.K. Rowling, nor
to I own the lyrics to Evanescence song Imaginary.... enjoy
This is a songfic in the POV of Severus as he deals with turning away his true love.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* I linger in the doorway Alarm clock screaming monsters calling my name Let me stay Where the wind will whisper to me Where the raindrops as they're falling tell a story ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Severus ran his hands over his black cloak again, for the hundredth time. He knew she wouldn't be waiting for him, but he had to go on with life. He couldn't just give it up, besides he had nowhere to go. All he wanted to do was retreat into his mind and pretend it wasn't happening. In his mind where she was still waiting for him, and she belonged to only him.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* In my field of paper flowers And candy clouds of lullaby I lie inside myself for hours And watch my purple sky fly over me ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The potions dungeon was cold, it was winter and even the cauldron fires were not enough to chase away the chill. He didn't care anymore, though. Nothing felt warm anymore, not since she left. It was his fault that she was gone. If he hadn't cast her out into the courtyard, if he had just seen through the lies his former lover was feeding him, he would have seen how much she truly did love him. He had to live with what he did to her, and he couldn't ever expect her to turn up. He had humiliated her in front of the entire school, students and faculty alike. "Typical Slytherin," were the whispers that followed him everywhere he went.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Don't say I'm out of touch With this rampant chaos, your reality I know well what lies beyond my sleeping refuge The nightmare I built my own world to escape ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
He watched silently as the students sauntered into the dungeon. 1st years, Slytherin and Gryffindor. In walked the first Gryffindor Malfoy to ever be seen, daughter of Ginny and Draco Malfoy, Anabel. Snape gave her a fleeting smile as she passed him. That was all he was capable of anymore, fleeting emotions. The class passed without incident, which was something, considering the enmities between both houses. Snape stopped caring until the next class arrived.
Double potions with Ravenclaw and Gryffindor fifth years. And there she was, his walking miracle. His black hair, the brown eyes of the woman he hated more than anything. It was his daughter, Violet.
The girl knew, however, that her father was lost to him. She no longer attempted to bring him out of his daze. He was lost to her, his heart and soul left when Amy walked across the lawn, out the Hogwarts gates and out of his life forever.
Violet died a little too that day. Amy was not her real mother, but she was the only mother that cared about her.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* In my fields of paper flowers And candy clouds of lullaby I lie inside myself for hours And watch my purple sky fly over me ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Violet always did well in classes, and Snape could be proud of her, if only he could feel. He was standing on the lawn near the lake at midnight, wishing he could envelope himself in the freezing waters, never to come up for breath. But Amy had deprived him of that luxury. He could not die, and perhaps that was the best punishment. After all, he did have her in his mind. Maybe he could sleep forever. The water wasn't so cold, not really.... ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Swallowed up in the sound of my screaming Cannot cease for the fear of silent nights Oh how I long for the deep sleep dreaming The goddess of imaginary light ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
- I just had to get that out of my system! I've been writing way too
much and listening to my Evanescence album a little too much as well!
Hope you all liked anyway! -
