Author's Notes: I know you guys are waiting for the next
chapter of "Snowfall", but I really wanted to write this story. It's pre-snowfall, so Tyler and Catie's
stepsister, Gabby are still alive.
Help! I'm
Trapped on the Cross Country Team!
Prologue
"Watie,
stay here. I want to talk to you,'' Mr.
Banks, my English teacher said as the bell rang. I groaned wondering what I hadn't done this time.
"I
heard the comment you made the other day about the cross country team and," Mr.
Banks said, and I wondered just what anti-jock comment he was talking about,
"As punishment I have arranged for you to become part of the team for a
season. So you will understand just how
much work it takes." My first thought
was that Catie was going to kill me when she found out and my second was, how
could I get out of it.
"I
can't do it," I said as an excuse came to me, "I'm an EMT."
"Not
to worry, you can leave when ever you get a call." Mr. Banks said and I knew I had been beat, "I'll see you on the
track at 2:20."
As
I walked out of the classroom I thought, how hard and can it be?
