Afterglow

Kathryn couldn't sleep. Even though she had been suffering from sleepless nights ever since her early academy days, it shouldn't be that way this night. Her mind longed for rest, and her body was tired and sated from the long lasting lovemaking with Chakotay only moments before. So actually, she should be able to sleep like a baby now.

Just as she closed her eyes again another loud snore echoed through the room, and Kathryn sighed deeply. Who would have thought that the man she'd loved for years and who turned out to be a rather talented lover, would snore like a drunken sailor at night? Somehow that was a kind of sobering after the mind blowing climax he'd brought her to, only minutes before. Actually, she was still shuddering from the very thought of it, and her ears were still tingling from her loud scream that had echoed through the room. Still, she'd always thought that the first time they'd make love, would also include some cuddling and caressing in the afterglow and maybe even a second round; not him rolling to the side and going to sleep within minutes.

Within the last minutes she'd grown more and more frustrated. This was just not fair, no, no, no, it wasn't, and her inner child longed to throw herself on the ground to throw a tantrum. Damn, she had waited so long, she deserved better than this.

Again a strangled snore escaped Chakotay's lips, and this time Kathryn let out a low growl, boxing him hard into his rips. He on the other hand only grunted and turned to his side, his sleep and snoring continuing as if nothing had happened. Frustrated she threw the covers from her naked body and got up. If she couldn't get any sleep, or any action, she at least could do something to relax, she thought as she ordered the computer to fill her bathtub with water.

Opening her bedside table she took out her favourite dildo, which had served her so well over the last years, and stomped into the bathroom. Served Chakotay right to miss the action.
