So, I'm thinking this is where I may stick all my drabbles. And, they will be ranged in genre from Romance, to angst, to family. As will the ratings. Though, they shall never surpass T DISCLAIMER FOR ALL DRABBLES: I am not putting this every chapter, just here. I do not, never have, and never will own Inuyasha. (At the current point, I do not and have not ever owned anything Inuyasha related)
Summary: Confused about Rin's connection to Sesshomaru, Kagome questions her. Father's day present.
Genre: Family
Rating: K
Kagome looked at the young girl sitting on the other side of the fire in the hut. Sesshomaru arrived in the village saying that he had to speak to Inuyasha over something urgent. Sango, Miroku, and Kohaku decided to spend the day together. And, Shippo and Kirara had found ways to torture Jaken for the stay, something that Sesshomaru found entertaining before walking into a hut with Inuyasha, and Kagome had decided that she'd spend some time with Rin.
That was just a little after noon, and it was now dark and Inuyasha and Sesshomaru had yet to return from their meeting.
"Rin," Kagome asked as she ate a little of her food, watching as the girl did the same.
Rin looked up at her and smiled, "Yes?"
"What is it about Sesshomaru that keeps you there?" Kagome wasn't trying to sound rude, but it was something that bugged her. How this high-spirited young girl lived with the one person in the entire world who seemed to not show any emotion.
Rin smiled, "He's not as emotionless as everyone says he is." Kagome tilted her head to the side in question and Rin continued, "He cares for me. He spends a lot of time trying not to show it… But, he does. I think he would always go out of his way to save me. Jaken told me, when I died in hell and Sesshomaru couldn't save me, that he was distraught. Though, Kohaku said that you couldn't really tell. But, Jaken seems to know Sesshomaru's emotions. But, I love, Sesshomaru. I don't have a family. And, he is like my family. And, I think, even though he doesn't seem to exactly know how to express it, he loves me too."
Kagome looked at the smiling young child and couldn't help but smile back. Seconds later, Sesshomaru opened the hut curtain, "Rin, it is time for us to leave."
"Yes, Sesshomaru. Good bye, Kagome," Rin jumped up and ran over Sesshomaru. He gently touched the top of her head with a look that, Kagome could swear, was loving. Then he turned and exited the hut, followed closely by Rin.
Kagome nodded, now she could see it.
So, drabbles or what?
