Tulips
Eric wandered into the ballistics lab where Calleigh was working,
'hey Cal', he greeted,
'hey Eric', she greeted back cheerily, the summer was here, and summer flowers were springing up everywere putting everyone in a good modd, especially Calleigh who was cheery most of the time anyways.
'you like tulips right Cal?',
she looked up from her microscope and looked at Eric suspiciously,
'yes, why?', she asked caustiously, he just grinned, walked over to her and gently took her hand. She slippedhe rlab coat off and placed it on her work bench as he lead her out of the gun lab. He lead her outside the back of the csi building were there was a small garden with a path, a bench and a tree, and a flower bed with newly grown bright tulips. Eric took her outside and showed her the tulips, she gasped and smiled,
'aww Eric, thank you', she told him sincerly, he'd obviously seen the tulips and thought of her, and wanted to share them with her, he just smiled which caused her to smile one of her amazing bright smiles which made her eyes and everything around her light up also. He squeezed her hand and she squeezed back. He pulled her into a hug and they stood for a few moments in the gentle sun looking at the tulips and jsut enjoying the moment of being stood with just each other on a beautiful day with no worries to plague them liek they usually do. Calleigh closed her eyes and leant her head back against Eric's chest as a light breeze blew past an blew threw her hair and Eric's. Eric held his arms around her waist tighter and she smiled, she turned in his arms and looked up at him,
'we should go back in', she told him reluctantly, 'Speed will no doubt notice you've wandered off and left him to do all the work', she joked, he nodded with a smile, his friend did always notice when he found a reason to go see Calleigh. They kept their eyes locked and Eric began to lean closer to Calleigh, she made no move to back away, instead seemed to want him to lean closer, she also began to lean up to hiom when they heard someone clear their throat from the door to the garden,
'some of us are left in there doing all the work ya know', Speed told them in a tone which showed he was not impressed at finding them like that, he turned and walked back into the building leaving Calleigh and Eric smirking at being caught, before deciding they should follow Speed back inside and do some work.
Well, they both thought, at least they had both wanted the first kiss even if it hadn't happened yet, maybe this meant it would eventually. They parted ways and they went back to their respective labs to work on their cases, until they saw each other again.
