Note: I do not own Harry Potter sadly or I'd be rich and not putting work up on online.

To Hate or Not to Hate

To hate or not to hate – that is the question:

Whether it is simpler to love someone

And be able to bask in the passion that it brings

Or stay guarded from people

And, by hating, never deal with the possible pain

To worship, and fall in love with that person –

No more – and by worshiping to say I feel

Those unexplainable emotions for that individual

That holds my devotions –

This is a condition

I never wished to behold

To hate, to detest –

To detest, perchance for the worst. Ah, that is the issue,

For in indulging in the practice of hate what happens?

When we are shielding oneself from the sickly sweet passion of love

One must stop and think

For it's these possibilities

That makes the process of hate troubling

For a sensible person wouldn't face the chances

Of angering the person,

The hurt that comes from backstabs,

The loves unavoidable end,

All the requirements to be part of each other's life,

The disappointments when you're stood up for a date,

All the possibilities to be cheated on,

Waking up alone because you where never good enough,

The silly pointless arguments

About things neither of you remember in the end

Who would follow love's beckon?

To follow blindly into the unknown of love,

But the shock of missing the way someone looks at you,

The first kiss you share with someone you can't help but feel for,

The shy smiles

When the two of you catch each other's eyes from across the room,

Yearning that you embraced love

Instead of hiding behind a veil of hate

Therefore the chance of not truly living life makes lovers of us all,

And hence the safety of hating

Is spoiled by mind blowing thoughts of being lonely,

And the security that is falsely brought by hate and solitude,

When one looks at these two paths

You find yourself moving away from hate toward love
