A/N: Man, I've gotten a lot of stories up in the past few days! ^^ Anyway, I start back to school soon, so I won't have as much up starting…well…probably tomorrow unless I get lucky in the afternoons. Little Things
"Sonic; why do you love me?" Amy asked.
The rain continued to pour that day outside, so the young couple was spending the day inside together. They hadn't done much together lately; Eggman had been hitting Mobius hard lately. Sonic was happy just to get a break. The rain had been pouring for the past 2 days, so they had spent the time at Sonic's house, just sitting around talking and snuggling by his fireplace. The power had gone out the sometime during the first day of non-stop rain, so they didn't have much else going for them.
But the question had puzzled Sonic. Why did he love Amy? He looked at her with an odd expression. "What?"
"Why do you love me?" Amy repeated turning her gaze from the fire to her lover's soft green eyes. "Why are you dating me?"
Sonic turned to look into the blaze and thought. After a few minutes, he let out a soft sigh and started:
"You're always there to hold my hand when I need cheering up…You're smile is always there to greet me in the morning and to tell me good night…I love the way you whisper my name in your sleep… You're sweet and you're always there when I need you... You're laugh can make my even my worst day happy again…I love the way that you twist the ends of your hair when you're scared…I love your warm hugs, no matter how tight they are…You're kisses are sweeter than anything else I've ever tasted…I love seeing your beautiful eyes as you open them each morning…When I'm with you I feel like I never want to be anywhere else in the world…and that I never want for that day to end…I love the way you wrap your arms around my neck and kiss my cheek when I come back from a fight…I just love every little thing about you, Amy. You're my rose, and that will never change."
As he finished, he leaned in and kissed her gently. Amy kissed back before they released each other. After hearing Sonic say all of these things about her, she had tears forming in her eyes.
"I love you, Soniku." She whispered, keeping her face just centimeters from his.
"I love you too, my beautiful rose." He whispered back, "and all your little things."
