THE DRAGON WARS
CHAPTER 1 ROBBED
The year was 1217 for hundreds of years the human's and dragons had been at peace. Each had their own army willing to protect each other in times of crises. The kingdom of trigonia was a bustling trade route. In exchange for exclusive trade caravans the dragon's would pay the human's a sum of gold coins or gems each year and for protection against would be bandits or those looking to hi-jack their cargo/supply convoy's the human's would give a certain percent of their annual profit as tribute to the dragon king himself. However, where there is gold and riches there is also greed and as is human nature, the temptation for such wealth is a strong one. Many fought such urges by reminding themselves about how long it took and what it took to gain the trust from the dragon king. However, greed is a powerful feeling and it wasn't long before a group of men decided to sneak into one of the dragon's gold vaults and steal some gold for themselves little by little but still pay them the agreed amount to avoid suspicion, but dragons are not so easily fooled. And as do all humans mistakes are bound to be made and one day the wrong shipment of gold coins was sent instead if gold mined and crafted by humans dragon currency called draculs which is gold in its purest form was sent upon closer inspection of the gold coins that was sent normally used to measure the purity of the shipment the dragon in charge of collection and examining noticed that the gold was too pure for it to be crafted by a human and then crossed checked them from the vaults and noticed they were the same. When they asked if it maybe the wrong vault had been opened reports showed that the amount that was supposed to be inside the vault since it was last opened and the amount that was inside the vault did not match and presumed stolen when news of the theft reached the dragon king he order another complete check of the gold that was received in every way possible to clear any possibilities that a mistake had been made. After looking over everything for a second and then a third time there was no doubt that somehow some human's had broken into one of the vaults and had taken vast amounts of gold. When asked questioned about the missing gold and how it had come to be into human hands, the trade master that was on duty at the time told the vault keepers that had come to look into the theft that they had recently sold a large amount of swords and armor the the human army stationed at one of the dragon outposts along a trade route that has been hit frequently by raiders. Upon reaching said outpost the commanding officer for the human army stationed there reported that no weapons nor armor had been purchased nor had they had any trouble with raiders. In addition, showed a full inventory report. And also showed them the armory but upon reaching the back a rack that was supposed to be empty was not stocked with new armor and weapons. When asked about then the commanding officer told them that he had not authorized or requisitioned and new weapons or armor and whoever had bought them had done so with out my knowledge. Both the commanding officer and the dragon that had inspected the outpost went back to the trade route check point that ask who had brought the newly purchased weapons and armor
