RESIDENT EVIL: 2
A file of stupidity, or being just plain idiotic
Claire Redfield slammed on the breaks. Her old Harley making a few reluctant sputters of protest as she lowered her foot to the ground and used it as a stand. The lights of raccoon city where so bright it was almost blinding. Yet the streets where strangely empty. Not a single person in sight and she hadn't seen any cars since she entered the city limits. Well at least on the road. The radio reports said there had been numerous accidents tonight along with a lot of strange casualties, but after awhile the station went out and all you could here is static. Claire thought it was just a technical difficulty so she didn't worry about it and turned on some music, but now she was getting anxious. She looked around for someplace to stop for a second to see some faces and shake this ominous feeling of dread.
A flashy sign across the road that said "Coon Bar" caught her eye. "A bar," she mumbled to herself. Claire straightened out her hot pink vest and adjusted her waist pack then set out for the bar, leaving her bike parked on the side of the road. The city seemed desolant and had an eerie silence to it that sent a chill down Claire's spine. She gave a rough push to the glass doors and they flung open with a clang. Her jaw went slack and drooped a little when she saw the bar was deserted to. Claire hesitantly stepped in. this couldn't be right bars where never completely empty. There was an old beaten up juice box to the left close to the doors. It seemed to be playing Burning Ring of Fire by "House of The Rising Sun," but the words where chopped up and slurred so she couldn't quit make it out if it was or not.
A wooden round table was flipped onto its side and the was glass from broken cups everywhere. Something on the floor caught Claire's eye. Cautiously she made her way in and kneeled down next to it to get a better look. It seemed to be a dark red liquid like some type of wine. Claire dipped her fingers into the substance. It was warm and sticky. She brought it to her nose and lightly sniffed. It had a coppery acidic sent. Blood. Claire stud up and wiped the blood of on her jeans before glancing around again. Her body becoming stiff.
'Something happened here' she thought to herself.
