AN: I wrote this songfic in a review for 80sarcades The Return of Hochstetter. It's patterned after Bob Hope's signature song, Thanks for the Memories and highlights my favourite parts of the story. I wrote it in jest and, and with 80s kind permission, I've reposted it here with a few new verses. Consider yourselves warned. Enjoy!

Thanks for the memories,

Of censored words like crud, bombs that made a thud,

And Gestapo-hunting in the woods with a chipper Elmer Fudd.

How lovely it was.

And thanks for the memories,

Of Moffit's angry mob, boxing with General Bob,

And watching Hochstetter sing in chaps, his dignity you did rob.

How lovely it was.

Many's the time I laughed and cried,

Especially when it looked like Klink died.

But I loved it when you lied,

About having Hochstetter's child. Wasn't that wild? (I know.)

Thanks for the memories,

Of Carter's arrow 'flame,' Hochstetter's twisted game,

And LeBeau's shocked expression when you turned into a dame.

How lovely it was.

And thanks for the memories.

Of drunken Looney Tunes, Moffit's trip to the moon,

And now that we're at the end, it's finished all too soon.

How lovely it was.

I like how the heroes weren't quite the same,

And though now it may be inane.

I loved it when Bugs diagnosed Wolfie as insane.

A straight jacket, a cigar. Man, that gag went far.

So, thank you.

And strictly entre-nous, how crazy are vous?

You were on trial for your life and let Klink defend you.

Awfully glad I read this, Cheerio and toodle-oo.

No, seriously, thank you, so much.
