Chapter 1
Departure
At the back of a large old middle school were two students, a male, and a female. The young male, age 16, was sitting next to the female, age 15. The male's name was Aiden, the female, Neo. The two had a crush on each other but hadn't known that the other felt the same way, so they remained best friends. Aiden looked at Neo, "Your really pretty Neo." She blushed as she looked into his eyes, "Thank you." she blinked cutely, "You look handsome yourself" and she blushed more. He returned the blush and stood up, "Come on, I wanna show you something that reminds me of you." Neo stood. Aiden walked behind her, covering her eyes he began to walk with her into the dark trees. They walked to a dark area and continue on their journey until everything becomes bright with light, "Keep your eyes closed." Aiden said as he removed his hands from her eyes. Neo simply obeyed his command. He walked a little ways away from her, "Follow the sound of my voice. Don't worry, there is nothing for you to trip over." Neo followed him "A-alright..." Aiden grabbed Neo's hand and pulled her close to him, "Open your eyes." She obeyed.
Neo Sees a beautiful area unlike any other, the trees separated in this area and let the sun enter, she saw the tiniest of waterfalls and a beautiful pond surrounding it. The grass was an amazing color of green and it smelled so fresh and clear. Something that you could only see on a postcard. Her eyes widened, "Oh my god..." Aiden smiled, "Every time I come here, I think of you." She started crying, "It's so beautiful!" He said the most sweetest thing to her, "That's why it reminds me of you." She hugged him, not letting go, "I don't deserve a friend like you!" He hugged her back and slightly frowned. She looked up and gazed into his eyes, "How did you find this place?" He simply answered, "I was exploring one day." Neo had a tinge of over-excitement in her voice, "Oh." He smiled at her, for he detected that tinge, "We should get home, before our mothers begin to worry." Neo frowned, "Alright."
Both of them go home and Neo's mother receives a call from Aiden's mom telling her that due to economy problems Aiden and his house hold were moving tonight. Neo's eyes widened.
Few hours into loading all the boxes into the truck, there is a knock at Neo's door. Neo ran to answer it. There Aiden stood, looking down with his arms behind his back. Her eyes widened, "Aiden!" He looked up at her with a smile, "Neo..." Now she was confused, "Why did you come..? I thought..." she did not finish her sentence. He saw how hard this was for her, "I'm leaving soon. I came to say goodbye." He moved his left hand, exposing a rose. Aiden give Neo the rose. Tears swelled up in her eyes, she could only choke out "Thank you." Aiden's mom called him from the car, "Aiden! Come on it's time to go!" He called back at her, "Alright mom!" he looked into the shattered heart of the one he loved,
"Wait for me okay? I promise...I'll come back for you." Tears streamed down her face, "I'll wait forever if I have to." They hugged, not knowing when they would see each other again. His mother called out his name again. He let go of Neo and left her. She looked down, shut the front door, and ran into her room of solitude. She locked every lock possible to that door and flopped on her bed.
