Rubi Malone is a daring girl who only listens to herself, she only cares about herself. That was until she saw her long lost sister get brutally murdered. Ever sense then she has been horrified and is fighting more often. All of it has changed though, because of one knock to her apartment door. Rubi had just prepared some steak from the cow that she had to kill. She doesn't like to kill animals for food unless she has to. She was running low on cash and didn't have time to worry about the guilt of it. She had just sat down when she had heard a knock on her door. Her head shot up and she grabbed her sword. She was walking toward the door slowly when she looked through the peep hole and saw nobody there. She thought it was a prank so she grabbed her other sword. With a sword in both of her hands she could kill the person that was trying to get her from whatever side the person was on. She heard the knock again and quickly opened the door and jumped out ready to execute someone. Then she was startled by the sight of the most beautiful girl she had ever laid eyes on. The little girl had peach skin and long black hair with emerald green eyes and a beautiful baby blue dress with white ribbons in her hair and tiny brown freckles underneath her eyes with a book in her hand. "Rubi?" she asked with the most softest voice. "Rubi Malone?" "Who are you?" Rubi asked the girl. "I am Emmy" the girl responded. "Emmy? What is Emmy?" Rubi questioned. "'Emmy' is the name my mother picked out, she named me that because of my eyes and you don't have to think 'she is so weird and mysterious'. I get it a lot." Emmy replied. "How did you know I was thinking that? And what does 'Emmy' mean? Rubi asked. "Emmy is short for Emerald. My mother named me it cause of my eyes like I already mentioned. I knew what you were thinking because it is my gift." Emmy informed Rubi. "What do you mean gift?" Rubi asked. Emmy looked at the dark sky. "Can we please talk inside, it isn't safe out here." Emmy told Rubi and rushed inside Rubi's abandoned apartment. Where Rubi lived was kind of like an old abandoned school house, in which the sound of children's learning and laughter hasn't been heard in over a decade.
