Sooooo, this is just a drabble one of my worst fears for the end result of Civil War. Warning for major character deaths.

Before you read this, let me just say I'm sorry.

Tony awoke groggily to the sound of pained whimpers and soft words of promises and affection.

Still in agonizing pain from the battle, Tony found himself unable to move. The attack between him and Wanda must have messed up his suit. Able only to turn his head, Tony was able to see Bucky on the ground cement , his left arm clean ripped off with a sobbing Steve holding his bloodied yet breathing form. Bucky's throat was slit and his stomach revealed multiple wounds from Tony's arc reactor. Steve was slowly rocking his and Bucky's body, his sobs almost as loud as Bucky's whimpers.

"I'm so sorry Bucky." Whispered Steve, resting his chin on Bucky's head. "I wish the war never started" he mumbled, tears falling on Bucky's dark hair. Bucky's labored breathing was slowing dangerously and he was gripping Steve hand affectionately. Tony could see true brotherly love in those blue eyes as he gazed at Steve, the man Bucky adored as his own flesh and blood.

"I wish that these wars never existed. Not for for people's lives that were lost, but for your sake" Steve continued mournfully, never slowing down his soothing hold on Bucky's body. "...because then at least we'd be home. I would never had the serum , but at least I'd have you." Steve was looking at Bucky in such a heart-breaking way that even Tony felt pained. "I'd be small and skinny and weak but at least we'd be together, and you be safe."

Bucky couldn't speak with the bloodied slash against his throat. One of Tony's battle partners had done this to him while Bucky was protecting Steve...for the last time. Tony couldn't look away from the scene, from the two men who gazed at each other like they were the last two on earth

. "I'm not leaving you ever again Buck." Steve vowed as he watched the light fade from those once bright eyes. The dying soldier breathed his last and died with Steve placing a small kiss to his his forehead, leaving Bucky to die feeling safe one last time.

Steve's shaking body was trembling with the grief of a thousand men. Losing his one and only reason to be Captain America, Steve raised his head to face the injured body of Tony Stark. Tony watched helplessly as Steve picked up the fallen knife that had been used to kill his best friend and made his way slowly to Tony. Pure, unadulterated hatred in his eyes as he now saw Tony as a bully; a villain.

Without Bucky, he was no longer just a kid from Brooklyn. He was a man who lost everything, all that he cared for...and was now to kill for not justice, but revenge. Tony would be the first to pay.

And Steve was going to make him suffer.

Yeah...so I'm really worried about this film, can you tell?

I know Sebastian has a nine movie deal with Marvel but I'm still tense.
