Not My Zane
Okay, here is my tag to Founder's Day, but this time for Jo and Zane. I am going with the time line change here and until I find out what's going on with the season I'll write more. Here Jo is devastated that this is not the Zane she knew and loved. Hopefully she'll get him back and the time line will go back to the way it was. I hope so.
I own nothing but the idea of my story. If I did, Zane would have either gone with Jo into the past or she would have said yes and everything would have been okay.
Jo sits on a bench and tries to come to terms with her loss of Zane, and is determined to get back to her Zane.

Jo walked through town, not really seeing or hearing anyone around her. She knew that she must be in some kind of shock or something. Her whole body felt numb, except the spot where her heart had been ripped out. She had been ready to spend the rest of her life with Zane, and it felt right to tell him that she did want to marry him.
She hadn't been prepared to hear him laugh and say what he said to her, the laugh was so cruel too. No in a million years would she have thought that he could be this cold to her, not after what they'd gone through when the ice crystals had attacked him. This was not her Zane, and she may never get him back. She'll have to spend the rest of her life knowing that she'd lost the love of her life.
To make matters worse, she'd have to see this Zane everyday at work cause he was locked up in jail for some reason. Maybe Carter would let her spend more time out of the office. She couldn't see this Zane everyday and not want to either kiss him and make him remember her, or punch his lights out.
Jo sat on a bench and watched some of the festivities going on around her. Founder's Day was supposed to be a celebration for all of Eureka and she didn't feel like being cheerful and celebrating. She wanted to crawl into her bed and cry. Something was really wrong with her, Jo Lupo didn't do the crying thing.
She remembered the day that she first met Zane, and the days of their first and second dates. Those were happy memories. She thought of the day that Zane first said he loved her. She'd been so happy and scared at the same time. She'd told him first how much she cared about him and almost scared him off, but the he'd come around and told her that he loved her.
She'd almost lost him so many times, for so many reasons. He'd spent more time in the infirmary than anyone she knew, well aside from Fargo. He'd been under the control of Henry's ship, he'd gotten the computer virus and was almost electrocuted. Then he'd been attacked on the inside by those ice crystals. Now she'd lost him for good because of the time line change.
She needed to find Carter, Allison, Henry, and Fargo to see what else had changed and what they could do to change it back. There was no way that she was going to live in this time line. She couldn't live with this Zane. He was so cruel and unloving. There was no doubt in her mind, they had to fix this. She needed for them to fix this, and she needed her Zane back.
Jo got up off of the bench with a purpose in her mind now. First, she needed to find Carter and the others, then get the time line fixed and tell her Zane yes, that she would marry him. She looked up and saw Jack and Allison walking down the street and ran towards them. They had to fix the time line and do it fast.
