The rate at which a sakura petal falls,

5cm I forget the ethereal grace of your movements

10cm I forget the sound of your light footsteps,

15cm I forget the feel of your gentle slender hand,

20cm I forget the perpetual rosy tint of your cheeks,

25cm I forget the pure happiness in your sparkling eyes,

30cm I forget the fluidity of your elegant script,

40cm I forget that you had loved me,

45cm I forget the time we first met,

50cm I forget the color of your soft hair,

60cm I forget where you said you were,

65cm I forget when we talked last,

70cm I forget what you meant to me,

75cm I forget your name,

At the rate of 5 centimeters per second,

All of the sakura petals have fallen,

And I remember that the seasons change.
