Hey guys! This is my first Legend fanfic and I'd love to hear what you think of it, so please leave a review! Enjoy!
The door slams shut, and immediately I feel his warm lips on top of mine. We haven't been alone in weeks. He presses me against the door and a tingle arrives where the ghost of his hands touched my skin. All I want is to be with him, but we can't. Not now.
The way my brain squeals under his touch screams the opposite. We should be together right now.
"Day…" I struggle with the words, the only thing I can feel are his hands gently searching my waist.
"Hm?" He murmurs, distracted, as he kisses down my jawline, teasing my lips.
"Come on," I try in vain to stop, eventually giving into temptation and pulling him tighter to me, letting the kisses become hungrier, more urgent.
I can feel his reaction, feel the force he pushed behind the kisses, the way his hands grab the hem of my shirt. I'm so tempted to put my own hands on top of his, to guide him. But I know this is not what we should be doing.
I break apart from him.
"Aw, come on," Day complains, looking up at me from under a long strand of blonde hair that had managed to escape his ponytail.
I turn away. There was no use in letting him work his bright blue eyes into my mind, muddling my thoughts.
"Get up," I command. "We have places to be, and you know it."
"All right," he agrees almost immediately. Sometimes it scares me the amount of power I hold over him. Until I see a smile spread mischievously across his face, and I realize, not for the first time, that he carries the same power over me.
He looks at me, straight in the eye, and says, "But, after this is over, we pick up right where we left off."
It's hard to match his nonchalant expression, but I try not to let joy in my eyes become too noticeable.
"All right," I say in monotone, then turn around and start walking out the door from which we came, waiting for him to follow. He doesn't.
"Now!" I try again, from the hallway. And I can almost picture his grin and his startling, brilliant blue eyes as I hear fast footsteps fall into stride beside me.
