In 2019, There was a human by the name of Kevin. Kevin had committed great sins in his life in order to have it all. One day, Kevin had enough of committing sins, so he gave up everything he had in an attempt to make amends. Just when he was about to be at peace, he was caught in a car accident. Next thing he knew, he was in Hades, wearing Prinny skin. Thus, his life as an Prinny began.
At first, Kevin cried every night, but a certain Prinny instructor reminded him that even though the road to making amends is a brutal one, enduring it to the end would relieve his soul. Since then, Kevin worked hard every day, until all of his sins were forgiven. One day, he met a Prinny by the name of Maria, who also died while trying to repent for her sins. Whenever they were together, they talked about their previous lives; Eventually, the two became lovers and worked together.
As the two worked together to help each other reincarnate, they also sacrificed some of their own HL to help other Prinnies do the same. As a result, many Prinnies were inspired to do the same, Almost to the point that the Prinny population was decreasing, albeit slowely.
"I know our reincarnation is delayed, but seeing helping other Prinnies reincarnate somehow feels more liberating than reincarnation itself, Dood!" Kevin said to Maria.
"I know what you mean, Dood. Actually, as long as I get to help, I don't really mind enduring it for a bit longer, Dood!" Maria said softly.
50 years had passed since then, and Maria had earned enough HL to reincarnate. Kevin was sad to see her go, but knew that it was for the best. He still had a bit to go, but he swore to work even harder than before.
On the Night of the Red Moon, Kevin's master returned home with an angry demeanor. Knowing that the matter would only get worse, Kevin offered himself as a sacrifice.
"Trying to be tough, aren't you, Prinny. We'll see how long that lasts!" The Master yelled as he dragged Kevin around.
Kevin endured the torture for hours and hours until he was barely conscious. When the Master left the room satisfied, Kevin's soul was fleeting fast. One Prinny that watched the whole assault went out of hiding to comfort Kevin.
"KEVIN! DON"T DIE ON ME! DOOD!" The Prinny screamed with tears flowing down from eyes.
Using the last of his strength, Kevin held the Prinny's hand in an attempt for one last good deed.
"Don't…give…up…Dood…" Kevin said weakly before his soul faded away from the Netherworld.
"DOOD! KEVIIIIIIN!" The Prinny screamed before succumbing to tears.
News spread about Kevin's death. All over, Prinnies and angels grieved for his soul. One day, a couple of Prinnies had decided to continue Kevin's legacy by working harder than they've ever worked before. Overtime, more Prinnies started to follow, until the day they reincarnated.
One day in Hades, two angels were waiting outside the office of their former Prinny instructor.
"My Lord, there are some angels that would like to see you." Said the Steward.
"Very well, bring them in." The Prinny instructor ordered.
The two angels walked in, both happy and nervous. "Um, Lord Valvatorez…" Said the female angel.
"Yes?" Valvatorez responded.
"…Thank you…Dood." The male angel said before leaving.
"Thank you for everything…Dood." The female angel said before following suit.
Valvatorez's eyes widened as he realized who they where.
"My Lord, are they really…"
"Yes, those two prinnies from years ago." Answered Valvatorez. "I'm glad to see that they are doing well."
Back in Celestia…
"So now that we gave our thanks, what else is next…Kevin?" Maria asked.
"Duh, our jobs, to help guide humans in the right direction…Maria." Kevin said jovially.
