The rain poured down though the trees. Hitting the ground with a splash. Axel sat by his bedroom window, listening to the sound of the rain falling on the roof. He never liked the rain, he'd never liked water in the first place. It'd been raining all morning, so axel had stayed inside. he was suppost to be doing his homework, but after about three minutes of it , he had gotten bored and started to draw. he hated school, he didn't understand why so many people thought that spending half your life sitting in a desk for six hours was good for you. axel often skipped most of his classes. although he did like art, cause it was the one class where he didn't have to do anything but draw, it was easy, and fun.

just then his mom knocked on his door, "axel, can i come in? i need to talk to you." his mom asked.

"sure mom." axel replied. his mom opened the door, and stepped in, she was a tall beautiful woman, she had bright red hair like axel's, and beautiful green eyes. she wore a green turtleneck sweater, and a pair of lose blue jeans.

"what was it you wanted to talk about?" axel asked.

"oh, right, well,i have to go away on a business trip in two days, and needed you to stay someplace while i was gone, and i have a friend of mine who is willing to take care of you, she has two sons, about your age. ok?"

axel looked down, this always happened, she always had to go on business trips, long ones, and he always had to stay at some random persons house, but he didn't want to upset her..axel looked up,into his mothers deep green eyes, smiling. "sure mom, sound fine."

"are you sure axel? i mean you don't have to go, i could stay here if really want me too."

"no, no... its fine, besides, this ones important right?"

"well, ok. im sorry, i wish i could spend more time with you..."

"its ok mom, its my fault you have to work this hard anyways." axel said looking down.

"axel! it is not your fault! i choose this job! i new what i would be in for. it has nothing to do with you at all!"

axel looked up, but stayed silent. his mom sighed.

"look axel, i don't wanna do this, but i have to. im sorry, i really am." she said getting up off his bed, and giving him a hug before walking out of his room. axel sat there for awhile, before getting up to pack his stuff.
