Prologue: Not Again
"You've spent your whole life running and running, trying to catch up with something that has never been there for you. And all you've done is go farther and farther away from the precious love that's been waiting for you all the time"She pushed him with all her might. Jacob tried not to let her see the pain her gesture had caused. It was not so much a physical pain as it was the fact that she was pushing him away.
"Leah, what is your problem?!" He asked angrily.
"You're my problem Jacob Black!" she yelled as the rage, pain, and vulnerability furloughed from her eyes.
Jacob and Leah: They were such a peculiar pairing. They were so different from each other it was ridiculous. Jacob pissed Leah of over the most obscure of things. Leah made Jacob want to throw himself off a cliff constantly. They disagreed about everything, and challenged each other as often as not. But despite all of their differences, despite all the bickering, one thing they both agreed on and knew for fact: They were undeniably and unequivocally in love with each other. That was something that even if both lived for a thousand years, would never change.
He looked at the fuming figure who was Leah Clearwater in front of him. She was so crazy beautiful it made his stomach flip.
She stood unmoved, her arms folded across her chest.
He took a step to her, leaning down and becoming eye to eye with her, their faces only inches apart. His breath tickled her lips causing her hard demeanor to soften.
"Leah," he whispered.
Her lips quivered in longing to grab and kiss him. She had been away from him so long. And yet her desire for him had never been stronger. She had tried many times to turn this perplexing craving for him off, but each time to no avail.
"No Jacob, I can't," the words came out, but it was her brain speaking, not her heart.
He pulled her into him. "Look Leah, stop trying to hate me, okay? Yeah, I've screwed up, and I've hurt you, I know it. And the fact that I added anymore pain to your life haunts me day in and day out." He was silent as he kissed her forehead sweetly. "I want to make it up to you every day of my life, and I love you so much. Just please, don't leave me…. not again."
She melted in his arms. She was unable to speak as she leant into him. He smelled so good, like cherry wood, fresh cut grass, and car engine oil.
"Promise me, Lee," he mumbled into her hair.
"Jacob," the word was whispered and broken as it escaped her lips, but it was all she had the strength to say.
A/N Hey Hey, so this is a story I've been critiquing for a while now. It's a Blackwater/promiscuous/drama/sarcastic kind of story, or at least that's what I plan for it to be. Anyway, I'll continue it depending on the feedback I get on this chapter. Like I really do care about what you think so let me know, okay?
Review=Love
Thanks :)
