~Curiouser + Curiouser~
~Prologue~
Falling is a strange but slightly natural feeling. It's especially so when you only feel it subconsciously. You can tell the rush of the wind is there. Gravity's light pushing and pulling against you. The sensation of being heavy, but completely weightless at the same time when one is falling.
It was strange, because the inkling was there, yet it was as if it was being slowed to more of a floating. That might be why Sam opened her eyes, still miles from the ground and looking upward, watching the sky fly by. As she opened her eyes though, it seemed to trigger a reaction of some kind, for as soon as she saw the ground lazily approach, it no longer was floating softly down like a feather. It had returned to falling like a rock.
Now, Sam Manson was a reasonable girl, when you are faced with something frightening or abnormal; she knows the logical thing to do was to fear it. For most of those things, she indeed does not fear it.
Although, being the reasonable girl that she was, when you are free falling to your death, she couldn't honestly say it isn't frightening. That is why she did the most logical and reasonable thing she could think of.
Scream bloody murder.
