Summary: Rogue learned to control her powers and is dating Remy. One day they found out she was pregnant and is expecting a baby girl. But a day after the baby is born Rogue dies, or so they think. She really got kidnapped and is being held hostage by Mystique and Irene. Now it's 15 years later and their daughter Marie, gets her powers, but when they move from New Orleans back to the Institute she starts seeing memories, but not hers, someone else's. She thinks her mother abandoned her and Remy thinks she dies, but doesn't have the heart to tell her. Now Marie finds out the truth and her, Remy and the X-men have to try to find her before it's too late.
Chapter 1: What's happenin' t' moi?
Marie was sneaking into her nice, little home in New Orleans at 2 in the morning when her curfew was 11 at night. She was out partying, flirting and drinking, so basically a younger Gambit. She was going to make it to her room when the light in the living room went on, and a pissed Cajun was sitting on the couch.
"Where have y' been Marie" He was glaring at her with his red on black eyes.
She looked over at him and turned around swinging her Auburn hair and her white have that looks like highlights. She put her hands on her hips, looking just like her mother. "What non cherie?"
Remy glared at her more "Marie where were y' "
She sighed and sat on the couch next to her father, making her eyes look innocent. She has her mothers eyes, except there not green there red like Remy's "Ah was at mon ami house 'kay" she said in her mixed southern voice. She got up and was about to leave when Remy stepped in front of him. Over the years he was still sneaky and quick.
"non y're grounded dis is de las' time" He stood his ground.
She looked at him in disbelief "Y' gotah be kiddin' " she took a deep breath and calmed herself down "Fahn I'm goin' ta bed an' get a shower" she went upstairs and went into the shower.
20 minutes later, Marie steps out of the shower and puts her clothes on. She wiped the foggy mirror with her hand. Marie looks at her tooth brush and sees it glowing a weird fire, red color. All of a sudden the toothbrush blows up and Marie flew through the door on her back screaming "AHHH!!".
From downstairs Remy heard a scream and a big explosion. He runs up and sees Marie on the floor and the sink missing. He bends down and picks up Marie's head and puts it on his knees. "Cherie, cherie are y' 'kay." He was worried for her, he didn't even know what happened, but he had a clue.
Marie woke up about a minute later, opening her eyes slowly" What de hell happened" she groans and sits up straight "Papa what happened t' moi"
Remy hugs his daughter and helps her up " Y' got y're mutant powers."
Marie pushes away from her dads arms, shocked and with her eyes closed."Mah-mah what?" Tears start to run down her face while her eyes a shut tightly. "I-I thought I wouldn't get mutant powahs since I'm already 15"
He hugs her one last time "Don't worry papa knows a place where y' can get help" He lifted her up in to his arms and laid her down on her bed "Don't worry petite y'r goin' t' de prof. place" he whispers to her and kisses her head and goes to his own room. While he lays down he looks over at a picture of him and Rogue. Rogue was laying on the couch with Remy on top tickling her. Remy smiles at the memories, then it fades and he whispers "I miss y' chere, it been really hard wit' out y'" Then he laid down and falls asleep.
