"RUN!" yelled Xavier to the teenager, who was carrying the child. Mentally he added Get away from the clearing; head for the village.
"We are out numbered in this formation. How did we get such bad information? Marcus* should have warned us. I would have brought the second company. We can do this we just have to change our attack formation." She began to draw on the cave floor and the others gathered around. Have Jacob and Leah pull back and flank the right side. Sam and Paul take the left up beside the right of the clearing. Embry and Jared take the rear. Xavier and I will take the front. Everyone hurry! I want this over with by lunch." Emily asserted.
Xavier told the others through telepathy. Then checked on the newest member Isaiah to see if he has gotten the toddler out of danger and back to the village. When he was sure he was, he turned his attention to the vampire ahead of him. With lightning fast speed he tore the jugular vein and blood spattered everywhere. He smelled the blood and it invigorated his spirit and strengthened his body. He decapitated the monster and shredded his body.
To a mortal human eye it would have appeared that the vampire was there and then had just vanished. Xavier was that quick. But to Wendell's eye. HE saw the remnants of his new army. He army was being destroyed by this woman. Conquering this land would be harder than he thought. One by one his army fell, slowly witling away to nothing. He was getting ready to get down from the tree as the last few remained when the female wolf spotted him. He leapt from the tree and the female launched at her. The female wolf was fast but he was faster and his fangs ripped open her stomach region. As the female wolf went down, he made his escape into the woods.
Leah let out a loud bark as she went down. Then she began to whimper. Emily went to her as quick as a flash. The rest finished off the last two and ran to her side as Xavier started the fire. Emily looked at Jacob with worry and he returned the sentiment. They both knew that she could not heal Leah with her powers. It did not work on their kind, the shape shifters, her new family. She was so worried that Jacob offered the only solution he knew "Someone needs to get Dr. Cullen."
"The blood sucker." Jared replied.
"Yes" Emily replied "He is right now the only hope that Leah has. He is the only one who can help her now."
"I'll go" Sam replied.
"I guess I can too" Said Paul.
The took off into the night and mentally Emily called after them. Take my sword as a calling of who is asking for him. It may help. They nodded and ran faster into the night towards the village for clothes and a car. They disappeared into the sunny light.
