I looked at the figures standing on the cliff above us

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or any other manga.

I looked at the figures standing on the cliff above us.

"Sasuke!"

I saw Naruto force Chakra into his feet and run up the cliff face to attack Sasuke.

My eyes widened, that idiot! That would make it easier for Sasuke to attack him.

That moron.

I turned to my other team mates and my breath hitched.

They weren't moving… just standing motionlessly in their various poses as if time had stood still for them. Forgetting the drama happening behind me, I stumbled over to Hinata who was the closest one to me.

"Hinata?"

I touched her hair. Shocked, I snatched my hand back. Her hair felt like stone and the slight breeze tugging at my short hair didn't even move a strand of hers.

I whipped around and saw a still Naruto looking like he was running, but never reaching the top.

"Dear lady, why haven't time frozen you too??"

Slowly, I looked up. Sasuke was still standing there looking impassively down at me and there were other figures beside him too. I could tell there was nothing wrong with them by the ruffling their hair in the wind.

A person separated from behind the group and leaped gracefully down, his black trench coat acting as a parachute.

With a rude shock, I recognized who the person was.

Attempting to run away, I smashed into a force field with an unwilling scream.

Whirling around, I pulled a kunai out and threw it at him. I looked upwards towards where Sasuke and his group were standing and found instead that they are now surrounding the force field where currently I'm trapped in with him.

"Don't worry lady. We have no quarrels with you"

The amusement lacing his voice irked me that he could act so relaxed as if we are friends and I had told a very amusing joke.

"Shut it!"

We were friends, but not anymore.

He'd avoided the kunai I had thrown at him so I settled for a chakra filled punch but he easily evaded that and became a blur to appear at my side, facing me still with that irritating smile on his face.

Before I could move, he pointed something at me and a blast of sound assaulted my ears followed by acute agony on my abdomen.

That was when my conciousness decided to slip into black oblivion.
