A Disturbing Drive Home: A one Parter
She was driving home from school when she saw him. He was on the side of a small dirt road, bruised, bloody, and beaten. It had only been last week that he had came to her dorm, asking her to come away with him. Looking at him, helpless, it hit her. She loved him. She, Rory Gilmore loves Jess Mariano. She stopped and quickly jumped out of her car. She knelt beside his fallen form and ran her fingers down his cheek. When she did this, Jess groaned.
"Jess," Rory questioned. "Jess! Jess, it's me, Rory."
"Rory?" He replied, his voice small and raspy.
She had taken his upper body into her lap, cradling his head.
"Jess, I called an ambulance. They'll be here soon."
"Rory," he sighed, sounding reliefed, his eyes remaining closed. "Before I go, I want to tell you something.
Rory started to panic. "Go? You're not going anywhere, you're staying here, with me. We'll be together, always." Tears started rolling down her cheeks, but not yet falling.
"Rory, I love you. I've loved you since the time I stole you're book, hoping you'd go looking for it and find me. That first kiss we shared, at Sookie's wedding, you looked amazing. And that kiss, it gave me a knot in my stomach, it was unforgettable, incredible. Rory, don't forget me." And with that, he fell limp in her arms, feeling lifeless. She guessed because that's what he was, lifeless. She placed one last, gentle kiss on his lips; hopping he would spring back to life and kiss her back. Nothing happened. Nothing. A single tear fell from Rory's cheek and landed where his heart was. She wept silently as the lights and sirens of three ambulances cut into her thoughts while two men took her Jess away from her.
Normally I would NEVER do this to jess, but I feel I need awake up call. I always think that every story is going to end fairy-book perfect and because I think that, I write corny weak stories. I wrote this in my spare time and decided to post it, thought I am not a very good writer and probably no one will like it, but, so what. Thank you if you do like it,
Keily
p.s. sorry it is so short
