Title: Shogi Is Good For All Kinds Of Things.
Rating: PG-13(homosexual relations)
Summary: Like professing undying love for example. ShikaChoji slash. Oneshot.
Author's Note: My library got the Naruto's 1-26 and I got addicted. So, this is the result. Enjoy.
You and Choji sit down at the Shogi board this morning and you're happy; really happy.
There are fluffy white clouds in the sky pushed along by an insistent enough to cool, but just gentle enough to keep from blowing the pieces off the board.
It's a very good day. A near perfect day.
You choose your pieces and Choji rips open a bag of shrimp-teriyaki-lime chips and the game starts.
Within the first four moves you know you can beat Choji but you prolong the victory because like the peaceful state you're in with the man across from you.
A few moves later, that man's brow furls up and then relaxes and after that he smiles at you and munches a chip between moves like he knows something you don't.
Nine moves later you decide to let Choji win.
You'd be lying to yourself if you said you didn't know why you came to the conclusion, but you wan to see Choji's reaction before you let yourself think ahead too far.
Choji's grin stretches out like his little secret was proven right and he says, "I love you too, Shikamaru," and you act all shy.
As if you hadn't known he was going to say that.
And just for the record, the day is now perfect.
