The storm beat down relentlessly on the castle roof. Rosette shivered horribly, despite the fact that she was bundled under a mountain of blankets. As another tremendous boom echoed through the halls of the castle, her tiny pale hand wormed its way from under her covers to ring the bell that hung beside her bed.

Hurried footsteps sounded from outside Rosette's room, followed by the sound of her door being pushed open.

"Babette?" The 7-year olds voice quivered. "Is that you?"

"Qui, ma fillette." Babette pushed the covers aside and pulled the small child into her arms. "Has the storm troubled you again mon ange?" Rosette trembled and shook her head in reply. Babette nodded her head knowingly and hug the child close.

"Where is mama?" She questioned quietly, but Babette was already on the move. With Rosette wrapped tightly in her arms, she made her way to the west wing. Deftly she maneuvered herself and the princess through the doors of the various halls, until she found herself at the side of the King and Queens's bed.

"MAMA!" She squealed as she spotted her parents, adeptly waking them from their slumber. Rosette leapt from Babette's arms into her mother's, and for the first time that night, the frightened child stopped shivering. Belle laughed quietly, kissing her daughter on her forehead. She gently rocked her daughter in her arms, lulling the girl to sleep.

"Thank you Babette, we will take it from here." Adam's slightly hoarse voice confirmed a job well done. Babette curtsied and took her leave.

"Of course, Master." Adam looked at the child snuggled up in his wife's arms. Lovingly, he wrapped his arms around them both and pulled them in close. Belle only smiled and she stroked her daughter's hair.

"We should really do something about this." He whispered to his wife, careful not to wake the now sleeping babe. "She won't be able to crawl into our bed forever."

"I'm sure it is just a phase my love." She kissed his cheek quietly. "For now, we all need to get some sleep. In time, I am sure this will pass." The king sighed, and settled into bed, knowing she was probably right.

The King and Queen settled back into their bed, and as the storm began to quiet, so did the three royals in the west wing.
