A/N: Originally written on Saturday, April 2, 2011 as an entry for the Iron Pen Contest at the 2011 Anime Detour. To make your entry eligible for winning, you had to successfully write a story of exactly 100 words within the time limit of one hour. You also had to include a surprise object in your story that would be shown to you once the contest started. The surprise object was a clock, so I worked a clock into this story. My entry didn't win, but the Iron Pen Contest was one of the most fun things about attending the Detour.
Disclaimer: Ah, if only I owned Naruto . . . but I don't. Oh, if only I were making money with this story . . . but I'm not.
Time
Ever since Sasuke left, Naruto had always been focused on time.
When Cell Seven had been together, there was always time for another mission, another bowl of Ramen, another fight with Sasuke. Time had stretched on forever then.
Now, four years later, Naruto knew that the time that he had had with his comrade in arms had been too short. And the time Naruto had to bring his friend back was dwindling. Like a clock that ticked to the beating of his own heart, Naruto could almost hear the time fleeing.
But Naruto was never going to let time win.
!The End!
A/N: Short but sweet, right? Please read and review, my fellow Naruto fans!
