5. Noise

Red Alert knew that he shouldn't complain, but the noise was just too high! He winced as Jazz racketed up the music another notch. He wondered if he could turn off his auditory receptors, but decided against it. Inferno sat beside him, laughing, and drinking heavily from the cube.

Red Alert could only wonder how long it would be until the noise stopped and he could have his peace and silence once more.

4. touch

Red Alert shrank back from a staggering pair of mechs, wondering how he had gotten himself into this. Oh, yes. Inferno dragged me here claiming it would be fun… Red Alert shook his head, looking out across the sea of mechs, shrinking from any touch.

His sensitive sensor net felt the fingers before they even landed. He jumped, turning. Inferno stood their, grinning his head off. "Don't you love parties?"

No, I do not Inferno. Red Alert thought tartly, but he kept silent.

3. sights

What had to be the worst part of parties had to be the inevitable interfacing. Some did it right their in front of everyone, too energized to care, and others did it in other rooms. However Red Alert could hear them through the thin walls thanks to his hearing… Red Alert caught himself staring at two interfacing mechs, and swiftly looked away. He hadn't even known that you could do that.

2. glitch

Red Alert wondered how much of this torture called a 'party' was going to last. It was long past midnight, and Red Alert knew he was going to be up for the next few days straight… Red Alert winced inwardly as his glitch began screaming at him for being at this party. Finally it became too much.

Red Alert bolted for the nearest opening, ignoring the disappointed look from Inferno. He escaped thankfully into the darkness, and his glitch quieted as he began picking his way towards the control room. There was no way he was going to spend another moment in their.

1. job

Red Alert slipped back into his chair thankfully, sighing in relief. His job was to watch the others, and watch he did. Silently he watched the party from the monitors, and groaned as he saw Inferno start up towards the control booth.

He wondered what he was going to say, and decided not to say anything. After all, his job was to make sure others were safe, not to be torturing himself with parties. Inferno entered slowly. "I'm sorry Red. I forgot how much you hate parties."

Red Alert found himself shaking his head. "It's not the parties Inferno, it's just, what goes on in them."

He twitched, still feeling slightly jumpy as his optics moved restlessly from screen to screen. Inferno shook his head hopelessly. He had been hoping to calm Red Alert down, not wind him up even further. Quietly he placed one hand on Red Alerts shoulder, drawing a slightly startled look.

"Well, when I'm with you, it's pretty much a party anyways." Inferno said, breaking into a wide smile, and bent down for a kiss.
