"It's beautiful here." Sighed Raven. She and Beast Boy were sitting on a blanket by the shore.

"Yeah, beautiful." Beast Boy replied, looking at Raven's profile. He couldn't decide which was more beautiful, her or the ocean? Of course, it was definitely her. Her by a long shot.

Beast Boy reached for a stray lock of hair fluttering against Raven's cheek, but this sudden movement startled her and she quickly grabbed hold of his wrist.

"Relax, Rae. Please?" Beast Boy pouted.

Raven let go of his wrist.

"Sorry, I guess I'm still on edge from our last mission." Raven said and looked back towards the sea with a faded expression.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"No, there's nothing to talk about."

"Your eyes say otherwise, babe."

Raven turned her body towards Beast Boy and smiled her most convincing smile.

"I'm okay. Really, I am."

Beast Boy edged closer to Raven and leaned in, bringing his lips just close to brushing hers.

"I'm here for you. Always."

At those words, Raven closed the gap and kissed him. After what would never be enough time she pulled herself back just to tell him one simple thing,

"I love you."

Beast Boy smiled her favourite smile and told her,

"I love you too. Forever."
