Summary: Mira it's not literally "shipping" put down those toy boats
Being a fairy tail mage means that you get to see many weird things.
And I mean many, many weird things (such as people drinking several times their weight in alcohol, people losing their clothes for no apparent reason or simply concussion that would kill normal human beings… well you get the idea) so seeing Mirajane at the edge of the lake at the park with several toy boats wasn't that shocking, still it got the ever so curious Lucy approach and ask.
"Hey Mira, what are those boats for?"
"They're my 'shipping' boats Lucy"
Since that didn't explain anything at all Lucy dared to ask again "and what exactly it's a shipping boat?"
Mirajane then explained "well each boat represents a couple in the guild, and I will release them on the lake"
"With what purpose?" you would seriously think that Lucy would know when to stop prodding but she is a fairy tail mage after all.
"Well it a symbolism, these boats represent each one of my ships and by releasing them in the lake represents my hope for that couple to get together, and while they float they will represent the couple enduring the pass of time"
"Well I hate to break it to you but these toy boats won't end up sinking in a couple of days?"
"These boats cost 2000 jewel each, if they sink so quickly there is a toy maker that will have several things to explain" responded Mirajane while being surrounded by a demonic aura.
Trying to stir Mira from any gorish thoughts Lucy quickly asked "So which couples are here?"
Successfully stirred Mira answered "I brought them all! Look I got nalu, jerza, gruvia…"
While Lucy looked the different labels of the boats she quickly noticed something "So Mira nalu stands for natsu and me right?"
"Yes" Mira quickly responded.
"So why this one here says gralu?" asked Lucy.
"W-well you see…" Mira stuttered
"And this one says lolu, care to explain?" said lucy while raising an eyebrow.
"Okay I'm kind of desperate so I'll accept what I can get" admitted Mira
"Kind of explains a lot actually" said Lucy unimpressed.
"So will you help me with the release?" Mira asked hopefully.
"Sure I guess since I'm already here"
Together they set the boats afloat on the lake, and when the last one finally drifted apart from the shore Mira turned to Lucy "Well that settles that, now let's hope so couples actually come together"
They continued to chat for a while until an unidentified flying object crashed down on the gajevy boat and sunk it.
Mirajane's expression was like she had seen a puppy die in front of her.
"MY OTP!" she bellowed as she entered the lake trying to rescue the sunken boat.
"Hey! I thought nalu was your otp!" said Lucy offended as she entered the lake to help her friend with the rescue.
Bonus:
"Oi did ya hear that?" asked Gajeel to his companion.
"Hear what?" asked Levy
"Umm maybe it was nothing" responded the dragon slayer
"By the way don't go throwing the scraps of your food around Gajeel, there are trash cans"
"Calm down shrimp that iron fell onto the lake" said the dragon slayer shrugging it off
"It could have hurt somebody" scolded Levy concerned
"Yeah yeah… wanna make out?" said Gajeel not caring at all
"Gee what a gentleman" responded Levy annoyed
She didn't refuse to the proposal thought.
