It was the day of Melissa Anderson's party.
I didn't have anything else better to do so I decided to go.
Of course it was completely overrated.
Once I arrived I nearly regretted my choice to come. I wanted to leave the scene for some reason as soon I walked upon it.
I felt restless.
There were cheap red plastic cups all over the floor, Couples sprawled out on the couch and floor, and the music was blasting on full.
Of course I thought we were going to get in trouble for disturbing the peace.
But nothing happened so it was all cool. I arrived sometime late and the sky decided to turn black.
I shivered, for some reason I dreaded the darkness.
It was something evil. Its beauty could consume you and when you least expected it, Destroy you.
As a child she was always scared of the night.
It always felt … like something horrible was about to come over her.
I decided to mingle a bit, Get to know some new faces, Dance a bit.
Once I was satisfied I decided to just walk into the kitchen to get a drink.
Then I felt a hand on my shoulder.
I turned around to see my best friend, Carter; He was a fairly tall guy with green eyes and silky brown hair.
He seemed a little off when he looked at me though.
Like…Like I was some kind of meal. It made me uneasy
. He smiled at me and asked me to follow him. After I poured myself a drink in a cheap red plastic cup I obliged.
He led me outside the door and down the street. He was walking fast. So fast I wasn't sure how I could keep up with him. When He finally stopped at Sheridan Park, I was exhausted. I hazily took a sip of my drink. I nearly spat the substance out as I tasted its bitterness. It was alcohol. Meanwhile, Carter had been watching me with his hungry eyes the whole time. By the time I had drunken all of the liquor, I looked up at him. But he wasn't there. I looked around and spotted him on top of a nearby slide. He kept his eyes on me though, watching my every move.
He finally spoke.
''Your time has ran up. There is no place left for you to hide, Dearest Nike.''
He laughed as he said my name and I felt a sudden chill.
''There is no Victory to come, only the end.''
He laughed at his little inside joke. As if it was actually funny. He was beginning to freak me out a bit.
''What's going on, man? You're really starting to scare me.''
He hissed.
''You cannot full me, Demigod. I know of your fate. Soon you shall seek to lull my Master back to sleep. But you will fail before you are given the chance. Soon, the darkness shall rise and He will consume all.''
I felt my blood freeze. I watched as Carter's body began to twist and distort. And there before me stood something that was in no doubt inhuman.
I released an ear-splitting scream into the night.
Author's Note: Um hey this is my first fanfiction so was kinda short. . I think I did a good job yet I get the feeling like I failed to do something so would like to get some comments. R & R please!
