Tomoyo watched them with a smile, delighting silently in their games, their struggle to deny it. In how with every denial, another thread was bound between them.
He would glare and huff and pretend to be indifferent, but silently seethe every time came closer to her, to what was sorely his. He would fret silently where no one could see, about her and for her, helpless to stop himself from caring.
She would make such an effort to ignore him, to pretend he wasn't there and she wasn't interested, to give Yukito her undivided attention and yet fail miserably every time he entered the picture.
Tomoyo watched them from the sidelines, not alone, with a tall dark haired teen scowling and annoyed, but keeping her company. Tomoyo watched them, their fights and their smiles and their never ending dance.
And there, where everyone else saw a complicated and uncertain relationship, an obstacle to be overcome, she saw the threads joining, twining, becoming the most beautiful tapestry she had ever seen. It was a picture of understanding and acceptance and struggle and...
