"A Christmas Poem"
by Rachel Berry
The fire burned bright;
Harmony lay in her bed, sleeping with her new stuffed bear held tight.
Quinn sat silently reading her book,
On her face a beautiful look.
I shut our baby's door,
Enjoying the sound of her snore.
I wandered over to my love,
And when I arrived linger above.
She looked away from her reading,
And seeing her eyes, my heartbeat started speeding.
"You were lovely today."
Is all she could say.
I leaned down and kissed her sweet
Although I'm sure she was more of a treat.
She sighed upon the absence of my lips
So she rested her hands on my hips.
Dragged me onto her lap
She laughed and gave my nose a tap.
"I hate when you lie to me."
She made a face that was supposedly a plea
To believe that she had not lied
And with that look I could've died.
Her bottom lip pushed out and pouted
And not for a moment could I have doubted
That she was anything but sincere
For me; how she put it "her wife so dear."
