Where is the Old me??
Jesse ran through the forest as fast as he could. Why was life so horrible for him?? His best friend dies. Her parents move away. May Belle dies from a car crash. He has more chores then ever. "It is not fair!" Jesse yelled as he ran to Terabithia. Terabithia was unharmed after May Belle died. Her peace was so strong that, once she died, all the peace came out and filled Terabithia. Now, it is a peaceful place that once the world will follow after. Hopefully.
Jesse ran up to the river where Leslie died. "Leslie." He murmured. "Leslie." He repeated. Nothing happened. He sat down and just looked at the reflection. It was rippled like any other reflection you would see in a moving river. He looked over and tears ran down his face. It wasn't fair.
Flashback.
"Dad! This isn't fair!! It isn't Pa!! It isn't!!" Jesse yelled. "Well Jesse…life isn't fair." Jesse's father said looking down. "What?? That isn't helpful!" Jesse yelled with tears welling up in his eyes. "Life isn't helpful." His father whispered. "DAD!!" he yelled the tears slowly falling out of his eyes. "JESSE!! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!" he said pointing to the door. "BUT DAD…" Jesse yelled. "JUST GO!!" Pa yelled. "Just… go…" he said.
Tears fell of his chin and onto his old red sweatshirt. They soaked in from there, and they stayed there, just like Jesse's feelings for Leslie. His love for Leslie. Everything for Leslie was stuck at Terabithia, and in the river. Everything!! Jesse hoped up and ran across the bridge. He looked at the tree house that was destroyed. It was destroyed ever since Jesse himself destroyed it. It had to many memories. So Jesse destroyed the memories. "I wish I didn't. I want to keep them now. Hey, that is life of Jesse right?? Everything is wrong in his life." Jesse said.
"Last time I knew… the old Jesse wasn't emo." Said a familiar voice.
"What?" Jesse said looking around.
"Last time I knew the old Jesse wasn't always down on himself." The voice said again.
"What the hell??" he said.
"Jesse. I know you have the old boy in you." Voice said.
"What?? Okay… I am serious-" Jesse got cut off by a firm object on his lips. He looked down and saw nothing there.
"Jesse. Shh… I know where the old you is. It is in Terabithia, only you have to have someone. That someone is me." The voice said.
"What??" he said. "I don't even know who you are!!" Jessie said.
"It is a girl you love." The girl said.
"May Belle?" he guessed.
"No. Think harder." She said.
Jesse had no idea. He shook his head. Who? Who? Who? Who did he love? Who did he love?
"Here is a hint. Close your eyes and keep your mind wide open." The voice said softly.
Jesse closed his eyes and let all his thoughts of his horrid life and everything else out. His mind was empty, but yet open. "Uh…" he murmured. Pictures came into his mind. That sounded so familiar!! Close your eyes and keep your mind wide open?? So familiar. It sounded like a song maybe that one of his sisters watched?? No…? Wait…? LESILE!!
"Leslie!!" he exclaimed.
He then shot up. "What??" he said. "What??" he said over again. He looked around to see the forest. Terabithia to be exact. That was all a dream. He fell asleep and another dream of Leslie.
"You ready to go find yourself?"
