Disclaimer: I don't own (though I wish I did) the characters used in this poem. They all belong to they're rightful companies. The storyline/plot of this fic however is my own idea. :)
A/N: *NOTE: Just so everyone knows my stories are rated T just to be safe, as I'm writing from a teenage/Young Adult standpoint. Well I think that's it so Sit back, Relax and Enjoy. (Oh wait one more thing; reviews and comments are most welcome but if you have nothing nice to say please keep it to yourself. Thank you.)
Both Sides of The Coin:
"Making a wish?" he asks as I drop my hands, resting them on the balcony railing
I lean back collecting my thoughts
When I say "Yes" and tell him why
He just smiles that silly grin of his
Telling me he'll take the blame
But how can he take the blame for something that isn't his burden to bear?
He says I should wish for something bigger
"These are wish granting fireworks, like in the stories."
"Stories huh?"
Stories
Like the one's surrounding the legend
I will end up with one of two fates
Loss of my humanity, or gain of eternal life
"You will never be one of those monsters." He assures me.
"So what will I be, a crystal?"
He smiles again and nods stating that "They wouldn't call it eternity if you died."
But to me
Death and eternity
Are both sides to the same coin
