She felt tears drop from her eyes, she felt pain spill over from her heart. She breathed in the cool air of the winter breeze. Her heart ached, ached of love and rejection. All she did was wish that she wouldn't have fallen for him. She closed her eyes, and what had just happened replayed over and over in her head.
Flashback-
"Hey Lilly!" Miley said in the hallway as she got to her locker. "Do you want to come over after school?" She asked while getting her history book out.
"Ummm, I can't, you see, I-I have to do a lot of chores to do after school." She stumbled to say.
"No you don't, you just told me yesterday that you were free today, and that maybe you could come over today." Miley said back, giving her a strange look.
"Well, my mom has to go to work early today.".
"But your mom works at like, six o'clock in the morning to two o'clock." Miley said while walking to class.
"Well her schedule changed, oh look, one minuet to get to class, don't want to be late!" Lilly ran off to the history room leaving Miley in the hallway. That's weird, Lilly told me yesterday that she could come over today, oh well, I'll ask Oliver. She thought to herself.
"Oliver, want to come over today after school?" She asked.
"Ummm, can't I just got a babysitting job, and I don't want to be late at the first day." Oliver faked a smile at Miley. Miley was lost in his brown eyes. Ever since third grade, Miley has had a huge crush on him, but was too scared to tell him. Suddenly the bell rang, witch brought Miley back to reality. After school that day, Miley was in her room, listening to music.
"Miles, someone wants to see you." Jackson said. Miley yanked out her ear buds, and went downstairs. There, Jake Ryan was standing, waiting for Miley.
"Oh, hey Miley, do you want to go to the movies?" He asked. Miley smiled, and said,
"Sure." She put on her jacket, and left with Jake. Ever since Miley and Jake were just friends, they went to either the movies or to the mall every Thursday. When they arrived, Miley saw Lilly standing there. Miley thought it was weird to see her there, but she avoided her so she wouldn't miss the movie. After two hours, Miley still saw Lilly standing there.
"Ummm, hey Lilly, I thought you said that your mom changed her schedule." She said. Lilly acted surprised, and nervous. "So why are you here?"
"Well, my, my mom got off early, so I thought I would go see a movie." She smiled, and hoped that the obvious lie would work.
"Really, who with?" Miley asked.
"By myself, why-why do you ask?"
"Oh, just wondering." She said.
