Well, she was in some deep sh*t, wasn't she?
As the sun rose over the horizon, Sparrow lay next to her cousin, and Sparrow was wide awake, her relative was fast asleep. Sparrow hadn't been able to sleep at all, in fact. She was up all night thinking about the fact that she had fallen in love.
With whom, you may be asking?
With her cousin's girlfriend.
A very attractive thunderclanner named thorn. She had a dusty, brown-red pelt with piercing green eyes, and had the most sarcastic humor. She was charming and charismatic, and oh-so devious.
Sparrow had been flirting with her under her cousin's nose for over 5 moons.
Sparrow quickly stood up and padded away from her cousin, and as soon as she had left their den, she bumped into Thorn.
"Hey there, birdie." The femme smirked and lightly whacked Sparrow with her tail.
"Thorn I….I can't do this."
The red-brown cat's face instantly fell.
"Wh…What? You're kidding, right? Is this some sort of sick joke?"
"N-No Thorn, I can't keep sneaking around behind my cousin's back like this. She's infatuated with you, and I can't stand in the way of your love."
Every sentence she spoke broke Sparrow's heart more and more.
"Sparrow, i'll break up with her for you. I love you more than her, please, I can't lose y—"
The brown femme shook her head.
"Stop. You should be with LittleClaw. It was wrong for me to do this in the first place, I should've never done this."
Tears started to pour from Thorn's emerald eyes.
"But Spar….I love you. I'll never love anyone like I love you!"
Sparrow nodded, she shut her eyes to prevent herself from crying as well. "I feel the same way. I'll never love anyone like I loved you. It's just….my cousin has sacrificed so much for me. Isn't it time I do the same for her?"
"Well, screw you and your dumb ass cousin! I….I hate you both! I never want to see your faces around here again!" Thorn started trembling as her sobs grew louder.
Sparrow briefly nuzzled Thorn before walking away, leaving her soulmate, and a piece of herself, behind.
