Dee paced. She heard Vis was going to sing for the contest tonight. Vis. Just that name…yeah that's all it took to make her want to go. But, what if she got another blood craving? What if someone noticed her fangs? What if he chickened out and didn't go? No. This is Vis, he'll do it.

She stopped fiddling with her necklace. It was time to go. She had dressed up in a simple evening gown. Yes, I said simple. With the money her parents left her, what she was warring was like a rag dress. It didn't matter to her. She didn't want anyone to know about the money. She wanted to have friends that liked her just because of who she was.

Just like Vis. She didn't know how he felt. She knew how she felt. Just seeing him smile; it always made he feel better about being who she was. He might not have even noticed her. But, tonight she'd be there for him. If he won or not, he'd still be that vampire that stole her heart.

She made her way on the dance floor, she moved pass the couples and a few faces she knew. She stayed closer to the right side of the dance floor. Waiting. She listened to the other students perform half-heartedly. Then she heard Mr. Lancer say his name. She looked to the stage to see him there.
