"Hello? Who is there?" Rose was patrolling the corridors late at night as a prefect, when she had heard a noise coming from a somewhere nearby.
"Show Yourself. I'm a prefect and I will give you a detention." She ended up deciding it was just her imagination, and continued walking. Then she heard the noise again.
"Okay. Seriously. This is not funny. Show Yourself." She said, drawing her wand, and stopping where she was.
Just as she said that, she saw something levitating in the centre of the corridor up ahead. She walked towards it cautiously. It was a bouquet of roses. Her favourite. She saw there was a note in it.
"Meet me in the classroom beside these." She read the note and then looked beside her to see the classroom beside her had its door slightly opened and light was coming from it.
She hadn't noticed that before, and immediately the worst came to mind. But finally, after debating whether to enter, her curiosity got the better of her.
She entered the classroom, and was shocked at what she found. The normally empty classroom had all its chairs and desks pushed to the edges, and in the centre was a picnic blanket with some cushions on top of it, as well as dishes with all of her favourite foods.
Suddenly, she saw someone loom in the shadows, and immediately drew her wand thinking it was a trap.
Then she saw his face. Kind, with sparkling grey eyes and with a shy smile lighting it up.
"So… uhm… hey…." He started really nervously.
The biggest smile came across her face. They both sat down on the blanket, the moonlight shining through the windows lighting up the whole room. She leaned on his shoulder, no talking, just silence. A comfortable silence though. And eating of course. Always eating.
After a while, Rose started conversation, "So…. You did all this?" she said gesturing around the room, "For me?"
"Well yeah…. I like you Rose... A lot… I'm glad you're my friend." He replied.
"Girlfriend. You're glad I'm your girlfriend."
He looked shocked, but she just leaned on him, fitting perfectly in his arms, and they stayed there all night, just enjoying each other's company.
